The Spivs have been back in the studio working on some new material – yes, we know that we said that the last time but what with Mick and his dancing escapades and our predeliction towards drinking rather than working, things have been taking longer than they should. No matter, the second coming is going to be good so get ready for some more stupidity island updates soon.

Hi all! First off – many thanks to those who have purchased the single – we appreciate your support! With all the stories about piracy killing the music industry, it’s good to know that there are people out there who are prepared to shell out for what they like.

As far as news goes, work continues sporadically on new material. Yes, we are lazy. We also have jobs and other things taking up our time. Mick is playing bass for another local band to try something different, as well as learning the Tres. Nic is doing some great acoustic guitar work, and Jim has a glass back but is moving towards getting something recorded once the drugs kick in. It’s going to be good, be patient!

Alright gang! It’s been a while, but rest assured your favourite imbeciles are still out and about, causing mischief. We’ve been a bit quiet of late, what with the various court cases, house moves, assault charges, car crashes and all the usual crap that seems to happen to us when we get together. We’re all nicely healed up, free from impending prosecution and working hard on new material so stay tuned – The Spivs are going to do big things this year!

The Spivs rocked The Fenton in Leeds on the 6th October, supporting The Monkey Tennis Experience who are a great bunch. Some indie band warmed up for us, but they weren’t much cop so I can’t be bothered saying any more about them. We all had a great night, the crowd were very supportive and it was good to get out on the stage. More gig news soon!
